Laurie Noto-Estep
Laurie Estep began working with Healing Stones and Crystals in the early 2000’s and has incorporated their use into her Reiki treatments and Reiki jewelry. Healing Stones and Crystals have been used for centuries to heal and to bring balance to life. In ancient cultures Healing Stones and Crystals were regarded as sacred gifts from Mother Earth. Each Healing Stone or Crystal naturally owns and emits its own distinct levels of emotional, mental, and spiritual energy.
Laurie has always been drawn to elements from the earth such as crystals, quartz, and precious gemstones. After numerous trips involving gemstone mining and panning for stones, Laurie was “hooked”. She found books about different crystals and gemstones and how they offer healing. Even better, Laurie began attending holistic symposiums where she learned much more about them. Laurie began selecting and purchasing her own Healing Stones and Crystals but not yet to make jewelry. Laurie used them all over her home to bring peacefulness as well as dispelling negative energies, she often gave them as gifts to her friends; depending specifically on which stones or crystals were the best to help a particular emotional or health issue.
Laurie, her husband Tom, and their mini-doodle Bella moved to the mountains of Virginia from the Research Triangle area of North Carolina in 2018. Laurie volunteers weekly at Rockfish Gallery & Gifts inside the Rockfish Valley Community Center. Before moving to Virginia, Laurie spent years taking decorative painting classes and she has been an avid cross-stitcher since her early teens. But never once did Laurie see herself as designing or making jewelry. It was never an artistic path she was interested in following. Then one evening, in early spring 2022, while watching TV Laurie made her first few Healing Stone bracelets mainly because she loved the feeling of the stones in her hands. Now her inventory includes in addition to hundreds of bracelets, necklaces, keychains, “blessing” bags, ornaments, and numerous varieties of Angels – some with healing stones, some with sea glass, and others a combination of both.
So that’s how “Infused” was born. For Laurie it was an easy transition, in that it “fits” very well into what this Reiki Goddess can offer in her Reiki Healing tools. Most days you can find Laurie in her home-away-from-home where she has transformed it into a warm, comfortable, and healing treatment room – now known as Rockfish Reiki. Stop by Rockfish Gallery & Gifts, where you will find Laurie practicing her Healing Arts in her “Happy Place” among all of the beautiful artwork.
